« In the strangest, most extraordinary circumstances, each one of us has unique opportunities. Opportunities to grow, opportunities to learn, opportunities to dare to defy our own perceptions.

In the strangest, most extraordinary context, a single indiscretion, the slightest mistake, can create a whirlwind of emotions, a tornado in which more than one are caught in.

Things break, even shatter. But then, there is time. Time soothes and relieves eventually all pain, even the most excruciating kind. In a way, there is no other choice than to be thankful for what was experienced, for it has forever shaped us, broken but bettered us.

It has led us to who and where we are today.

It does not define us but it defies us, it allows us to accept ourselves as we are, not to be ashamed to be vulnerable again.

For there is no use, no purpose in hatred, in resentment. There is no meaning in wishing the worst. There is only a quest for inner peace, the true avenue to happiness. The only way to become the person who makes yourself content. This is all there is, and all there ever will be.

And so, after almost one year, where walls came crashing down on two tender hearts and a wounded soul, there is seemingly a light at the end of the tunnel. Some run away, some deny the pain they’ve caused. Others face their demons.

They cry, they ache, they talk about it, they try to make sense of it. Eventually, with time, and a constant presence of goodness of God, they heal. They do heal. It is only a matter of time. They learn to smile and laugh again. They learn to appreciate new opportunities, new doors are then being opened.

In the strangest of all circumstances, they even develop a friendship, a common ground where they find comfort in an end with no proper conclusions.

They live these emotions together and single handedly at the same time. It is not a race but a process. Time heals all wounds they say, and let this be their greatest hope for a New Beginning. »

Life goes on, it always does.
