Clear as water
As everything else around spins
Deep analysis is ongoing
As he stares deep into her soul
The door is now open
The path is accessible
To enter the Kingdom of Wonder

One step in front of the other
As previous feelings of absolute certainty slowly fade away
Suddenly, doubt occurs
Everything stops for a moment
The euphoria breaks abruptly
The music inside her heart takes a weary tone
As she enters the Realm of darker fears

She is officially back to reality,
feet firmly placed on soil
She wish she wasn’t, but it has to be this way
Reality of temporary situations
As she once pondered
It is time, already.

Time to enter the Kingdom of Wonder
To reconnect with the methodical doubt
This ongoing inner questioning
Forgotten, set aside for a good while

How this soothing break made a difference
A sudden disconnect from everyone else’s reality
As she enters the kingdom of her heart,
She knows, deep inside, the outcome that awaits her
She knows, but she’s not ready to face it yet
She understands her parts of fault at hand
She judges herself for being too permissive
with her impulsive feelings
Restrain and a step back needs to be taken
The music continues
Sends shivers down her spine

He is still staring at her
Analyzing, reading, sending with his eyes
A very clear message
A clear message she clearly understands
They both see themselves as having the upper hand
On the situation of their once fluttering hearts
It is not a choice, it is an inevitable outcome

With sadness in her eyes and heart,
she quickly lets go of what she cherished so fast.

She secretly wished that this time was the right one.
She feels no regret, she just needs to cuddle her fragile heart and accept accountability for putting it through so much emotion in such little time.

This is the way it has to be, as my walk through the Kingdom of Wonder holds the certainties I always push aside.
